Fuedo Arancio 2020 Hekate Passito Sicilia IGT

Hare's something that is just a little deliciously different: a passito-style dessert wine from Sicily with a nutty, savoury finish. From Feudo Arancio (Orange Grove), this is an intriguing amalgam of floral aromas and sweet and savoury flavours (think raisins and apricots) with those honeyed and nutty notes on the finish. It is a blend of chardonnay, viognier and inzolia (aka ansonica) named after Hekate, a Greek goddess. The secret to the richness of passito wines is that the grapes are naturally dried, adding to the intensity of the flavours.
